Parent Schoology Help

WHAT IS SCHOOLOGY?

/skoo-luh-jee/

A learning management system (LMS) that connects all the people, content, and systems that fuel education.

Schoology is like a teacher's website or an extension of their classroom online.  Announcements, special dates, pictures, newsletters, discussions, lessons, videos, etc. could all be on a teacher's Schoology page.  Students are enrolled into Schoology by the school through our PowerSchool, student information system.  Students go to a different Schoology website to log-in since they are connected to Schoology through the district.

The difference between PowerSchool and Schoology is that PowerSchool is a student information system (SIS) which contains the demographics of the student, parent info, emergency contact info, grades, bus schedules, etc.  Schoology is a learning management system (LMS).  The info that populates the classes, teachers and students into Schoology comes from PowerSchool.  However, the content on the teacher's Schoology pages are created by the teacher to share with students and parents.

Parents receive a 9- to 12-alpha-numeric join code that is linked to their child.  Parents go to www.schoology.com and create an account using that join code.  Multiple parents can use the same join code in order to be connected to their child.  Creating your parent Schoology account only is done once.  Your account connected to your child will allow you to follow the courses and groups your child is in through their career at Nazareth.

If you don't have or lost your join code for Schoology or need assistance with creating your Schoology parent account, please Email:

There are also step-by-step directions posted on the "How do I setup my Parent Schoology account?" page and also a helpful video.
